SOLWAY SHOWGROUNDS, JUDDS ROAD, MASTERTON

NOTE: TUBERCULOSIS AND BRUCELLOSIS TESTING FOR ALL BREEDS:
All cattle 3 months of age and over entered for a Show MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A
SIGNED AND DATED TB DECLARATION CARD.

The animals must have:
Either a TB Free or an Accredited TB Free status, and in the case of breeding stock, be
Accredited Brucellosis Free.

DECLARED TB MOVEMENT CONTROLLED AREAS: Cattle 3 months of age and over which
are farmed or grazed within a Declared TB Movement Controlled Area must be negative to a
TB test within 12 months prior to the start date of the Show.

All Other Areas: Cattle 12 months of age and over, farmed or grazed outside of the Declared
Movement Control Areas must be negative to a TB test within 12 months prior to the start
date of the Show.

Under the Biosecurity (Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999, cattle may be
moved to a Show without official primary or secondary ear tags provided that:
1. The animals are moved directly to and from the place of the Show under the direct control
of the owner.
2. The animals carry a mark registered to a breed society.
3. A permit to move the animals without official ear tags has been issued by AgriQuality New
Zealand.

TB Trucking cards must accompany animals.

TB DECLARATION CARDS MUST BE WITH THE SHOW SECRETARY 48 HOURS PRIOR
TO SHOW DAY.

RULES: Copies of rules available from the Show Secretary.

HEALTH & SAFETY: Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and
shall be liable for any hazards created or accident, illness or damage caused by the action of
themselves or their animals at the showgrounds. Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate
animal legislation and the Health and Safety in the Employment Act 1992.

PROTESTS: Protests must be lodged in writing within 30 minutes of class being completed
with a fee of $50.00 which will be refunded only if protest is upheld.

W JAMES MEMORIAL TROPHY - YFC Member with most points. Please specify on entry
form if you are a current YFC Member.

ENTRY FEES: $8.00 per class (unless otherwise stated - see calf section).

PRIZE MONEY PAYOUT POLICY:
(Prize money may be substituted with product)
1 - 3 Entrants 1st Prize only
4 - 5 Entrants 1st & 2nd prize only
6+ Entrants Full prize money

All entry fees & prize money are GST inclusive. PM and refunds $5.00 and over will be paid
out by direct credit using details on cheque with entry form after the show.

The Association reserves the right to alter the programme, prize money, vouchers, product,
etc.

EXHIBITORS
A nose ring MUST be used for all bulls aged 12 months and over.
The Committee would appreciate Exhibitors co-operation in clearing straw from their stalls
before leaving the show.
All entries over 12 months of age in single classes must be named.
