The original programming for Main-Events was done to run a local horse show which 20 years ago was pen and paper and quite typical for the equestrian industry here.
While the focus of the company is now on developing and marketing software for other show managers, we like to keep a hand in so to speak at the grass roots level.
Each year we run 2 or 3 major shows ourselves including assisting at the Horse of the Year Show. All data entry is done by our operators who then bank the money, send statements out to customers, provide organizers with schedules, programmes, class lists, stabling lists, score sheets, stabling lists, results and much more all customized to suit the show. We even bring our own networked computers.
This is valuable training for new staff at Main-Events as it gives great exposure to real life show management but more importantly is the breeding ground for new ideas when it comes to the next upgrade! As we know the software best, we can spot issues that need fixing that others miss and notice improvements that can be made to have the process more streamlined.
